Nurse Practitioner

Leah Newton is a new local Nurse Practitioner from Comanche who has committed to her professional career to Stephens and Jefferson County. Leah active in the community and in her Church, Ray of Hope. Leah a wife and a mother of two beautiful twin girls who she spends all my free time with. Leah and her family love to travel and spend time at the beach. Leah has provided emergency care thru Duncan Regional Hospital and Jefferson County Hospital for over 10 years. Leah started her nursing career at Red River Technology in 2011. She completed her RN at Murray State College in 2014. Leah graduated from University of South Alabama as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Emergency Nurse Practitioner in December 2022 with Honors. Leah is excited to continue providing care to her community as a Nurse Practitioner at MedFirst Urgent Care.

Dr. Dave is an Oklahoma based board-certified Family medicine trained physician who is one of the founders of MedFirst Urgent Care. Dr. Dave has completed his MD in from Russia in 2001, followed by experience for three years working in India, working the Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Dave completed his residency training in family medicine at Southwest Oklahoma family medicine OU residency program in 2004. Dr. Dave practiced family medicine in Lawton in his private practice before joining the hospitalist group at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in 2013. Currently Dr. Dave is practicing medicine as a hospitalist and medical director for Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. Dr. Dave enjoys traveling, listening to Indian music, spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Kaur is an Oklahoma based board-certified Family medicine trained physician who is one of the founders of MedFirst Urgent Care. Dr. Kaur will be serving the community of Duncan with best medical skills and knowledge. Dr. Kaur did her medical school from one of the renowned institutes of medicine and health sciences in India, GMC Amritsar. Dr. Kaur completed her Residency from OU and has served in Lawton for more than 5 years. Dr. Kaur enjoys practicing medicine and helping people in need. Dr. Kaur is married and has two children. Dr. Kaur is involved in multiple committees including AAFP, AMA, American board of family medicine, hospital Peer review committee, quality control.

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner: Family, Emergency, Acute Care (Dual), and as a Medical Examiner

Dr. Barlow completed an extensive educational track earning two Associate degrees (Community College of the Air Force and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College), Bachelor of Science from Indiana University, Surgical training (Northern New Mexico College), Master of Science from the University of Oklahoma, and a Post-Master's Certificate (Family Practice), Doctor of Nursing Practice, and Post-Doctorate Certificate (Acute Care) all from the University of South Alabama.  

Dr. Barlow is the co-founding member & CEO of the largest NP-owned & managed group in Oklahoma, Salubrious Nurse Practitioners, augmenting medical coverage support for multiple contracted practice venues in 7 states. Dr. Barlow has advanced education & training in the following settings: outpatient (Family Practice/Urgent Care), emergency room, acute care (ICU/Hospitalist/Surgery), post-acute care (SNF/LTAC), flight medicine, and telemedicine. Dr. Barlow is currently a Medical Officer holding the rank of Major (0-4) with the United States Air Forces Reserves where he is attached to the 489th AMDF, Dyess AFB, TX, as their Aerospace Medicine Nurse Practitioner. He also serves as an industry expert/expert witness with consideration of practice in line with Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Barlow falls into the top 0.25% in the nation of those in his career field with his academic prep. Dr. Barlow is licensed to practice privately in 7 states and nationally/internationally within his role in the USAF.
